ABOUT MRS. SOUSA
I earned my Master’s degree in Early Childhood from Westfield State University and my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts- Amherst. I spent a few years working at a school in Amherst in Preschool and then I did student teaching in East Longmeadow, Holyoke and Westfield. I came to Ludlow 5 years ago and began working at East Street School as a permanent substitute teacher and was hired the following year as a Kindergarten teacher.
Since becoming a teacher at East Street I got married, got a dog named Tyson (Boxer) and had two children, Ryan and Julia. Don’t be surprised if you hear stories about Tyson, Ryan and Julia. I often tell the students funny stories about what they are up to! East Street School has become my second family and I am so excited for another year and getting to know all of my new students.
I consider myself very lucky because I love what I do for work. Teaching Kindergarten is so amazing because I get to see so much growth and change in my students. I strongly believe in collaboration and parent communication so please never hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to another successful year!
